Fotowalk die Welt der Fotografie

9 – 03- 2019

A fotowalk with our photo group.
The weather conditions – cloudy, windy (and sometimes rainy)

The photos…

One special mention for the falcon, who was giving us a private show, no fear, just great potos (for us)

MedienhafenDüsseldorf, February 2019

One of the most favorite places in Düsseldorf for photography.

A wonderful day with Hilde, Wännä (and a few people more)

A different look at familiar places

A nice day with Hildegard and Wännä!

Düsseldorf -art

Düsseldorf has been a place where artists gathered. Many of those artists are tributed with sculptures. Here a few of them, with, where possible, an explanation under the photo.

Mutter Ey

A winterwalk with Photographers from the facebook group die Welt der Fotografie

When you organize a photowalk in the winter, you can expect that things happen.  The weather can be bad, people are having health problems and so more.

An outdoor event is a bit risky then.   We made it, anyway, with a small group of people.  And we hade a nice day, guess what, without rain!  A grey day in and around one of the pretty places in our city.   I let the photos speak!

Photowalk with a small group of very nice people!
Thank you for participating  Winfried, Arnd, Heidi, Joleen, Hildegard.

not a good photo, but for us a kind of ‚gig‘   Kings Fisher at the river Erft 🙂

52 weeks – Quirinus Münster

Time for a new challenge, 52 weeks a photo.  Let’s see if I can make it again.

From new to old,  the Quirinus Münster Kirche, in our hometown, Neuss

The Joy of Wintertime

The palette of December Days
No vivid hues but subdued greys
When nature seems to turn her gaze
Away from brighter things
It seems she dreams in monochrome
And trees.. now naked set the tone
Stand skeletal… not skin… but bone
….  They await all Winter brings

Their limbs now bare, their colour dark
But they share the beauty of their bark
And on each bank.. they stand apart
But somehow intertwine
The bridge, for them, is obsolete
No man-made method helps them meet
And bond and blend and stand to greet
The joy of Wintertime

Within Me

As morning dawns
I will not be hurried into action
I will not be waylaid by
Diversion and Distraction
Today will be
My Day on My Terms

I will watch the world awaken
And spend time lost in thought
And quiet contemplation
My heart will be hopeful
My soul will be still
My feathers will remain unruffled
As they protect me from the winter chill
And I shall sit…
And look…
And see…
Not the world of others
…But the Universe within me

I AM NOT A FAN OF GINGERBREAD

I am not a fan of gingerbread
When it comes to houses – It must be said
I would be much better fed
And find it rather more enticing

(And pleasing to the eye) ..if it were white and neat
If my dwelling-shaped treat
Were made of something rather more sweet
And covered with Royal Icing

A Victoria sponge would be my dream
(Filled with strawberry jam and cream)
And to finish the scene
I think a few small edible details.. and so
A liquorice roof of darkest hue
(and Windows and door)  and then add shutters too
In the bright bold shade of “Food Colouring Blue”
With just a dredging of “Icing Sugar Snow”

TEARS OF A CLOWN

The tears of a clown – you cannot see
My beaming smile hides the pain within me
My role in life the pure embodiment
Of mischief, mishap, mirth and merriment
But you say my features cause distress
My garish greasepaint is grotesque
But I really cannot fathom why
You say I’m ugly to your eye
Could the reason be… that I do not fit
Within this world of “identikit”
This superficial, sterile space
When surgeon’s scalpel will erase
All signs of character – and diminish
Each tiny line.. and banish blemish
.. And lose all expression of surprise
With botoxed brows and cat-like eyes
When lids are lifted and a perfect pout
Is the thing that life is all about

… And that is why this clown sheds tears
It preys upon my darkest fears
Of a world I cannot contemplate
With a single, perfect “one-face” template

HaFri Poetry January 2019

We got the world
In our own hands
For the time that we live

Our goal should be
To make it beautiful
So that it is worth to give

To our beloved ones
Children, dear friends
Make sure the circle will be long

Respect nature, love another
Be grateful, to the earth
Let her live, healthy and strong

03.01.2019

Be strong
Be so strong, that you dare to show your weaknes
Be so strong, that you are grateful for help

Be strong
Have the courage to say, that it is enough
Dare to care for the world around you

Be good
Be good for nature, for who you care
For this world, that it is here

Fight for your love
It is all around
Together we are strong

3 Kings came, from far
To see the new born King
They did follow a star
And were convinced that it should bring them
To that important place

I do believe in fairy tales
They make me smile, for all
Because they lead to a peaceful place
Where you don’t beat your head
Against the wall

03.01.2019

And just before I close my eyes
We stepped into another day
Thinking about what was
Not too much about what will come

Counting the blessings, they were plenty, I realize
I am lucky, to be okay
And when the future, transforms into the past
I know that we have not been wrong

If there is one thing, I learned from life
(and there surely is much more)
It is that smiling helps to survive
No matter how much you feel sore

You can fight the darkness, with looking for light
But to black, grey already looks bright
You can not wish the too hot weather
And mother nature does not matter

So it is up to you, what to do
Looking up, or staying blue
Feeling sad, for what you miss
Or being happy for what is

Choose wise and treat yourself nice
Enjoy winter and eat an ice
Eat a steak, just for lunch
Count your blessings, they are a bunch!

I sometimes have moments
That I am sitting at the couch
And then, I all the sudden
Forget where it is about

I feel sorry for myself
(even when I know better)
I feel lonely, with no one around
I shed some teears, what is all what matters

The tears blind my soul
I feel alone
I can not feel your hand at my shoulder
I can not describe it much better
But it gets more, now that I grow older

Those moments in sadness are not so good
They have strong effect at my mood
And, what happens almost every time
Then someone offers me a tissue
And all the sudden I feel fine#

Nothing needs to change
I am still sitting there, and look into the grey
But, when I turn my head
I see someone, at a couch, next to me
I can not see him pretty well
But I think, he is just the same

I stand up, I whistle a song
And, while I wipe my tears
I know, that the show must go on.

They told me,
That the rain should fall
That it should disturb it all

They told me
It should be dark and grey
Not much brightnes, should bring the day

They told me
I better should stay home
Far away from the cold
I should keep warm
With something warm to hold ☕

I did not listen to the advice
Dressed up warm and nice
Out I went, into the wood
No rain came down,
All was good

I did walk on
Through the wind
And when the shadows were tight
I all the sudden
Walked in the light
